Planner Peace

Standard

If you’re in the #PlannerGirl community, you may hear of people looking to find “planner peace”. You know…finding THE perfect planner to suit your needs, adopting a system that is quick & easy and helps you get things accomplished. It can be a never-ending pursuit, which I’m still pursuing.

I’ve only been using my planner since September and I’m still trying to find my style. I’ve played with various layout styles in my horizontal planner, using stamps, Washi tape, stickers, scrapbooking paper, etc. It takes time and a lot of trial & error.

So, I was kinda stoked after a recent trip to the U.S. to do a little shopping. After hitting up the Target Dollar Spot for some of the cute stationery goodies I’ve seen other girls on social media find, I set out to plan a new week.

It’s kind of cool that I already had these stamps from Recollections brand that totally matched the new page flags & sticky notes I’d just bought. I even had the perfect ink color (Nectarine from the ColorBox Chalk Ink palette) to match.

So, although I’m still trying to figure out my planner style, this little layout and the planner accessories I pulled together, for this week at least, helped me to achieve planner peace!

Totally Hooked on Studio L2E

Standard

It’s taken me some time to gather the supplies I wanted to get my planner looking the way I wanted. But over the past few months, I’ve collected pens, stamps, ink pads and Washi tape.

Planner stamps are all the rage these days and I saw why after receiving the stamp sets I’d ordered from Studio L2E.

There were so many sets to choose from but since my planner will be more work-related, I went for the two basic icon sets, Iconic and Iconic Activities.

I mean…come on! How can you not fall in love with these teeny, tiny stamps?!

I’ve tested a few already and love how easy they are to use. Just a quick dab of ink, stamp away then wash in warm soapy water and air dry.

There will be a new release coming up at the end of August, so be sure to pop by the Studio L2E site or join the Group over on Facebook to stay in-the-know!

So, now that I’ve jumped into the world of Planners (seriously…if you haven’t done a search on YouTube for the phenomena, go do it right now and you’ll see what I mean), I had to buy some supplies to add a little funk & flair to mine.

There is a dizzying array of options online – from woodblock stamps to acrylic stamps that you peel and stick to a block before stamping, as well as self-inking stamps.

I knew I wanted some mini icons and when I found CoolJapanSTAMP on Etsy, I was instantly hooked.

I could have easily added one of everything into my cart but since I knew I was going to be ordering other stamps, I was a little modest and bought just a few.

First, this little ribbon banner, which I’ll use in my journal as well as in letters. Love it!

Second, I picked up this checkbox stamp, a staple in any planner gal/list gal’s arsenal.

Third, and probably my favorite of all, this Mini Calendar Moji Stamp Set. They really are mini but SO CUTE and they’re a great addition to my planning kit. Perfect for so many uses.

The stamps came to me all the way from Japan but it got to me in a week. Not bad at all!
